Annette Brejner

Annette Brejner

Founder / Creative Director

Phone: +46 (0) 733 612 619
E-mail: annette@mbrane.se

Annette has founded the vision, identity and organisation of m:brane - now in it’s 19th consecutive edition. REALYOUNG© docs for and with young audiences, m:brane Learning© and the Non Didactic Universe© are all her brain children.
The Focus on Denmark, which is co-programmed with Prami Larsen and this year fill the entire program of the Opening Industry Conference is a special delight for her. Annette started in the film industry in Denmark in the 1990’s as project coordinator at the Danish Film Institute for both documentaries and children’s documentaries. When she relocated to Malmö, she took with her knowledge and network and started the forum on Swedish soil. Her role model was the financing market forums, that seem to flourish the industry of documentaries on which she designed the first structure for a professional forum for audio visual content for the savvy, younger audiences, that emerged side by side with the technological evolution. Since then, the forum has evolved and undergone adjustments into what is now a steady recurring event gathering 200+ representatives of the industry from 35 countries coming to Malmö week 11 each year.
She has through her work become increasingly curious and deeper submerged in the question about the correlation between new technology, immersive experiences, the industry and young audiences’ innate intelligence and intellectual sophistication.
She believes that working in this part of the media industry assumes that we embrace climbing a steep, never-ending learning curve.
