A look back at m:brane 2025

We want to take the chance to say a BIG thank you to everyone who took part in the 19th m:brane forum — Pitch Teams, Decision Makers, Experts, Our Youth Experts, Speakers, Moderators, and all professionals who came to Malmö to be inspired and, hopefully met someone they might end up collaborating with in the future. Sometimes it’s those sudden and unexpected meetings that spark the best ideas and of course the structured One-to-One meetings between Decision Makers and producers.

m:brane is all about the personal meetings and strengthening, renewing or establishing: Business for Art’s Sake.

We all seemed to be thrilled about our new venue: Studio Meeting Point – and yes, it’s already booked for the 20th m:brane – The Anniversary – in 2026.

The Management of m:brane also wants to say a huge thank you to our brilliant team as well as to our tech team LIVE LIGHT keeping us calm, year after year.

Don’t miss our short mood film from the forum – see for yourself below!

So it’s time to say: We cannot wait to see you all next year March 9th-12th 2026.

A big THANK YOU to videographer and youth expert Jonna Kainulainen for creating the m:brane 2025 films and capturing the forum through her lens.

Jury: Tone Mygind Rostbøll, Head of programme Buster Filmfestival (DK), Håkan Bjerking, Producer Screenwriter (SE) and Flippa Krisby, Youth Expert (SE).

Motivation:  Atchy Konesh gave an outstanding pitch of Jordan starting with a black screen and just dialogue, pulled us in and and left us longing for more. With absolute confidence he presented a story that was both personal and political without lecturing us. Atchy personifies participation instead of just representation. A worthy winner of the m:brane pitch prize 2025.
