BELDOCS KIDS & YOUTH X m:brane

m:brane’s Managing Director Lennart Ström packed his bags in September and headed towards Belgrade along with our long time collaborator Ove Rishøj Jensen, from Paradiddle Pictures. In collaboration with Beldocs Kids & Youth they held a two day seminar. Lennart gave us an update.

What was the purpose of the event?
“It was a seminar to inspire creators, funders, broadcasters and curators of documentaries, to strengthen the quality of docs for a young audience. Not only in terms of content but also the ways of engaging and reaching this audience segment. There was also a presentation of different projects that got comments from me and Ove Rishøj Jensen together with a young expert group.”

What’s your takeaway from the experience?
“Very smart young participants that really showed that this audience should be given the best and challenging content.”
