Lene Johansen

Lene Johansen is best known as a television host on DR, having spent many years on TV-Avisen and Deadline, and most recently on the global magazine program DR2 Dagen alongside Jakob Illeborg.
She is a trained journalist with more than twenty years of experience in radio, television, and the written press, including newspapers and magazines. In addition to her journalistic work, Lene Johansen is an author, lecturer, educator, and the creator of two interview series: Modige Kvinder (Courageous Women) from 2008, which highlights women around the world who risk their lives for a greater cause, and Europæiske Divaer (European Divas) from 2014, featuring European actresses over the age of 60.
Lene Johansen has extensive experience as a moderator for both large and small events. Beyond presenting, her role at these events includes conducting interviews and facilitating in-depth debates—an approach often described as “an iron fist in a velvet glove.”
She has taught at the Danish School of Journalism’s continuing education program and at the folk high schools Krogerup and Vallekilde. Since 2014, she has co-hosted a summer course at Ebeltoft Film High School with Karen Widding.
Additionally, Lene Johansen serves as an external examiner at the Danish School of Media and Journalism, has experience in board work for the humanitarian organization PLAN, and is a member of the advisory board for Kirkens Korshær (the Church Army in Denmark).
She also gives lectures—either based on her books or tailored to specific requests.
