Tine Fischer
CEO of the Danish Film Institute
After a position as programmer at the Cinematek at the Danish Film Institute from 1995 to 2001, Tine Fischer became head of the newly established festival CPH:DOX. Over the course of 10 years, she turned the festival into one of the three most important international documentary festivals. In 2018, Tine Fischer was appointed the first CEO of the umbrella organization Copenhagen Film Festivals, now managing the children and youth festival Buster, the feature film festival CPH PIX, as well as CPH:DOX. In 2021, Tine Fischer moved to the National Film School of Denmark to continue the restructuring of the internationally acclaimed institution. When the position of CEO of the Danish Film Institute was advertised, Tine Fischer stepped in in 2024 to take on the difficult task of managing the approximately 67-million-euro budget and leading the institute through a time of major changes in the film and television industry.
