New awards at m:brane

World Congress of Science and Factual Producers, the pre-eminent international industry organization for factual content, will be contributing to m:brane 2026!

m:brane enhances its focus on documentary and factual formats for young audiences.

We are thrilled to announce our first special guest and partner for m:brane ’26 — Conference Director of the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP) Paul Lewis. Paul brings with him more than three decades of experience as a broadcaster and production executive, speaker, trainer and mentor.

To reaffirm that m:brane continues to lead the way in developing documentary and factual formats for young audiences, we are introducing two new Awards, given by Paul Lewis on behalf of WCSFP.

Paul will not only participate as an experienced expert during the pitches and one-to-one meetings but will also present the WCSFP Award to two winning pitches.

Each award includes a free accreditation to the 2026 Congress — valued at approximately €1,200 — covering full access to the programme and social events.

The member-driven WCSFP takes place in a new country each year; in 2025, it will be hosted for the first time in Latin America — Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, December 8–11. https://wcsfp.com

Paul Lewis says:

“Collaboration is central to the WCSFP mission. We provide our community with the opportunity to connect with new partners, new platforms and innovative new approaches to reach new audiences and production opportunities. I look forward to bringing that same approach to next year’s m:brane”

Creative Director, Annette Brejner says:

Our new collaboration with WCSFP is a reflection of the spirit of curiosity, courage and creative innovation that defines how we strive to enhance documentary, science and factual through our the Non Didactic Universe brand. With the contribution of WCSFP we are now able to pave new paths and untrodden territory for factual storytelling for savvy young audiences.
