The lineup reflects a commitment to documentary storytelling that resists didactic formats, instead stimulating curiosity, empathy, and critical thinking. Together, these works offer a glimpse into a vibrant ecosystem of makers who are redefining how real stories can speak to young audiences.

Women’s wrestling is now the fastest-growing youth sport around the world. She Wrestles artfully interweaves remarkable stories of young women in the American heartland who surmount trauma and find joy by embracing the ancient sport of wrestling. Though patriarchal societies have long discouraged women from wrestling, that dam is breaking just in time to give teenage girls a courage-building, deeply embodied, community-based antidote to social media, depression, and our always-online culture.
Pitches take place Wednesday March 11 and Thursday March 12 from 9 am at the forum venue.
REALYOUNG© started by m:brane in 2015 is now part of m:branes extended crusade to raise awareness, redefine and create business opportunities for non-fiction storytelling through our extension: The Non Didactic Universe©
