2025 will be the 19th consecutive edition of m:brane and for the 7th year in a row, we put the spotlight on a specific country. The forum’s Country-of-Focus this year is Denmark. The program for the conference, which kick-off m:brane, will focus on Denmark under the headline: Small twist, big change.
The program will present new ideas and concepts to adapt to the change in “kids & youths screen life”.
There is no simple receipt. However, the Danes seems to have found “new money and resources” by collaboration, visibility and open minds to create big change by a small twist to your “normal business”.
Talent and projects in abundance, funding scarce or not existing. Do you recognize that diagnosis for your creative industry? Isn’t the frozen image when it comes to getting creative, visual projects out there to the children and young audiences?
m:brane has crossed the sound between Sweden and Denmark because of a list of projects addressing the issues and challenges the change of markets and funding possibilities the film, tv and gaming industries have experienced in the recent years – or forever, to be frank.
With the m:brane opening industry conference – “Oh, I see: Small twist, big change” – we hope you leave Malmö inspired and dedicated to get something done at home.

This year we had filmmaker and explorer Mikael Strandberg in the workshop REALYOUNG© with his documentary project in development ”Man With His Daughters – 6000 km on bicycle”.
To develope and finance a documentary is a struggle as we all know but now Mikael has reached another goal – to conquer the Greenland Icecap.
”32 days, 404 miles, 8-10 hours of hauling a day, every kind of weather from rain to iceold stormwinds, soft sticky snow to rough cauliflower ice, we have crossed the Greenland icecap!” – Mikael writes in his blog.
