Lilia Paul (Lilia Schneider) is an author, director, and producer, experienced in innovative storytelling in virtual reality, app projects, 2D animations, short films, series and digital content. With a commitment to international collaboration, she focuses on creating impactful children's films and pioneering new media experiences.

Born in 1985 in Donetsk, Ukraine, and raised in both Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, Lilia's artistic journey began early. She honed her skills at art school before earning degrees in literary translation, linguistics, and literaturefrom university. In 2005, she moved to France, where she studied film at the University of Strasbourg, graduating with adiploma in film studies and English in 2010. Her formative training included an invaluable internship at ARTE G.E.I.E., where she laid the groundwork for her extensive German-French collaborations in the film industry. In 2016, she founded her independent production company, CINÉ-LITTÉ Productions, based in Germany focusing ondeveloping innovative film, animation, and digital projects. Under her leadership, CINÉ-LITTÉ has rapidly gained recognition, with productions consistently nominated for and awarded prestigious accolades at renowned film festivals. Lilia's contributions to the cinematic world have been acknowledged through generous support from esteemed organizations, including the BKM, the Young German Film Foundation, the Film and Media Foundation NRW, as well as international partners like CNC, Pictanovo, and the Région Grand Est in France. CINÉ-LITTÉ Productions has earned nominations and accolades from globally recognized festivals such as the Venice International Film Festival VRExpanded, the Lumière Awards, the International Chicago Film Festival, DOK Leipzig, and the Fantoche Festival, amongst others. Her short film and VR productions were distributed theatrically and on TV internationally. In 2021, Lilia showcased her expertise on the interactive app "Kids' Earth" at the Children's Media Festival Goldener Spatz as a part of the GREEN STORYTELLING initiative. Most recently, in 2024, Lilia received prototype funding from Creative Europe/Media Fund for her project, FONCE, and was invited to share her insights as a panel expert for the European Commission. With her relentless passion for storytelling, Lilia Paul Schneider continues to shape the futureof children's film and new media, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and inspiring future generations of creators.
