Founder and Director of Exaltia, a science communication studio, France

Renaud is the founder and director of Exaltia, a science communication studio specialized in cultural innovation.

He works at the interfaces of culture, science and research, whether through audiovisual production or by creating innovative initiatives aimed at raising public awareness and making science accessible, such as the Double•Science festival, the art-science project Cell Worlds and the podcast The Lonely Pipette. He is a content creator for various media on Instagram and Tiktok.

With Exaltia, he offers innovative formats at the crossroads of science and culture (music, cinema, art, adventure, travel, etc.) in order to bring science into new areas. By using emotions to support scientific messages, the studio is renewing the codes of science communication on the web and on stage so that citizens can take ownership of scientific research though culture. Their slogan: inspire wonder to raise awareness.

His work has received several recognitions: double laureate of the Knowledge and Cultures fund supported by the French National Center of Cinema and ARTE, multiple festival selections (Silbersalz, Pariscience, Imagine Science, Les Utopiales etc.), and the Live-reporter engagement award for the French National Science Festival. He also trains the scientific ecosystem in new narratives and works towards the recognition of science communication as a tool for democracy.

He introduced Cell Worlds at m:brane 2025 on the panel « Diving into the Unknown and Unseen - Science for the Senses », and i 2026 he will explain how they transformed the different, already existing formats into a, now finishedFullDome experience.

At the panel THINK BIG:

Renaud Poupre will share Cell Worlds : journey to the other infinite:
Imagine a planetarium not as a telescope, but as the world's largest microscope. Cell Worlds is a groundbreaking immersive odyssey that reveals the other infinite : the hidden universe within ourselves. Created by a unique collaboration with researchers, this project bridges the gap between high-end scientific microscopy and captivating storytelling. Cell Worlds is a journey to discover a hidden biodiversity: our cells. Migrations, hunts, symbioses and even communications, who would have thought that the infinitely small was so grandiose?

By transforming raw scientific data into breathtaking 360° visuals, we offer a multisensory journey blending electro-orchestral music with real images of microscopes, which can be enhanced by a live performance. This dome experience fosters a powerful collective wow effect, designed to captivate a large and young audience.
