– during m:brane forum no.18

Second drop of the conference program is out today!

Igniting New Perspectives: Reshaping Media Creation

March 12th from 13:00 in location: Malmö Town Hall, G.A.Torg, Malmö, Sweden

This year m:brane welcomes not only the media industry but more so professionals in the museum sector who are interested in how to explore immersive media and digital content as a tool for museums to enhance the museum experience in the future. Not least to attract and engage young audiences.

And with a fictional industry professional designed for m:brane to let our participants peek into their own and the media industry’s potential future, through an engaging, interactive AI-driven role-play, our program is designed to transform your imagination and your horizons.

In whatever sector in the industry you work, you’ll discover fascinating implications for how digital experiences are shaping our world – and your future.

We are utterly excited to invite all m:branes participants to this opening conversation between two top international thought leaders: Nina Diamond and Maïté Labat. They have workshopped together at various occasions, now they are bringing m:branes participants global perspectives informed by prior work at some of the world’s leading art museums: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Louvre museum and Palace Versailles. We have invited them to focus on personal reflections and hopes for the future.

Speaker: Simon Jon Andreasen introduced by Elin Algreen-Petersen

Come leverage the artistic research of a seasoned multi-media director to understand how a story can be developed across media and platforms. Join Simon Jon Andreasen, PhD of Norway’s Game School in this MASTERCLASS in “The Star Method – Understand World Building for Five Platforms.” He’ll start out by walking the audience through the method he invented. Next he’ll lead you in crafting your own original story-world in a ten-minute speed workshop that’s been designed especially for m:brane. This fast-paced workshop will provide you with both inspiration and practical skills for the future.  The star method is developed in collaboration with the Cross Media School of Children’s Fiction, who’s Head Elin Algreen-Petersen will introduce us to the master class.

We are thrilled to see recurring producers, with new projects!

One of the selected producers of the 2024 edition, started out pitching back in 2014 – and she has been at the forum several times after. This year she is here to pitch, with her co-producer David Houston from USA, the VR project Fonce, Animation/Drama, 13-18 Years, Germany/USA.
The project is part of Focus:Germany and part of Human Rights under The Microscope
